Here, I tackled the death penalty and three strikes proposals. For three strikes, we worked to visually explain the difference between the proposal and the current program. Register’s mobile share continues to grow

The Register’s mobile share (how many of the total page views come from smartphones) continues to grow, edging towards 50 percent. The chart, at right, shows the climb of smartphone news consumers. Clip: Anaheim officer-involved shooting

Link: Anaheim shooting: 2 cops on leave, 1 dead, 5 arrested At 4 p.m. July 21 officers shot a man who was chased based on suspicious activity. The man’s death a few hours later sparked a small riot later that night and protests that continue days later. I worked as a breaking news reporter the morning after the shooting and initial protest. Hey there, thanks for visiting! I am digital editor at Voice of OC. I am also a mom to two, a wife, a Long Beach resident, a fan of hoppy beers, a vegetarian and an amateur baker who enjoys perfecting macarons.

I have been a journalist all my life, starting with creating my own newspaper for back to school and open house nights in the fourth grade. I continued writing and editing news through middle school, high school and college. My career includes working at Voice of OC, Chapman University and the Orange County Register.
